Carla Y. Gullatt is director of operations and outreach of the Joint Center for Political & Economic Studies, Health Policy Institute (HPI). Ms. Gullatt has been instrumental in helping guide the Institute through years of new growth and development, building new partnerships, and positioning the Institute for continued success. As the director of operations, Ms. Gullatt works inter-departmentally to establish organizational procedures, develop and manage an administrative structure and tracking system for the extensive set of relationships, MOUs, collaborations, grants, and consulting agreements that are an essential part of the HPI operational program. She also oversees the day-to-day operations for one of the Institute's major program initiatives and project-related activities. Ms. Gullatt brings over twenty years of experience in both the nonprofit and political fields. Prior to assuming the role as director of operations of HPI, Ms. Gullatt held various positions in fundraising and development. She brings to this position strong inter-personal and management skills, as well as a passion and commitment to the Institute's mission, goals, and objectives. Ms. Gullatt has a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from Sacramento State University.
