The Joint Center convened its third ACTION lab in Washington, DC on April 10-12. The PLACE MATTERS teams traveled to the the Martin Luther King, Jr. memorial and participated in a communications workshop on Race, Racism, and Health.
On the last day of the ACTION lab the Joint Center held a congressional briefing, entitled "Advancing Health Equity through Community Engagement." After the briefing PLACE MATTERS team members met with their Representatives to discuss health equity issues in their communities.
