Place Matters: The Cuyahoga County Health and Land Use Summit II

Building Health, Hopeful and Prosperous Communities through Land Use Planning

The summit is scheduled for Thursday, August 19, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 

The objectives are to:

  • Identify strategies and tools to address and measure the health and equity impacts of land use decisions.
  • Learn how to utilize "place-based" land use decisions to influence the social and environmental determinants of health and health inequities.
  • Increase multi-sector partnerships for considering health impacts during the planning process.
  • Increase the understanding of how health impact assessment could be utilized in land use decision making and applied locally.
