Meeting Goals
- Learn about the Boston Team's determinants of health work related to equity.
- Explore the complex relationships between Structural Racism, Privilege, Policies, and Policymaking.
- Explore the impact of structural racism on determinants of health, specifically Housing, Education, Transportation, and Planning/Environmental Justice.
- Engage teams in exercises to develop strategies that address/counter the effects of structural racism on health by identifying race-biased and privilege-focused policies and exploring policy improvements and innovations.
- Network with colleagues and foster working relationships within PLACE MATTERS teams.
- Provide a safe place to brainstorm new and innovative approaches.
