American Councils for International Education is pleased to announce two new members of the organization’s Board of Trustees. Danielle Deane, Director of the Energy and Environment Program at the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies, and Margaret (Peggy) Chisholm Marsh, Senior Counsel at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, have joined the governing board of this non-profit organization specializing in international educational, academic exchange, and overseas language immersion. Ms. Deane’s international background, expertise in environment and development policy and education, in addition to her extensive work in the foundation world, provides the Board with a new and essential perspective. Ms. Marsh brings nearly twenty years of international trade, customs and border protection, and trade-remedy litigation experience to the global non-profit as it explores expansion of educational services into new geographies all over the world.
“We are pleased to welcome Danielle and Peggy to American Councils and to the Board. Their professional backgrounds, international expertise and personal commitments to international education and research will benefit the organization in the fulfillment of its educational mission in the years ahead,” noted Dr. Dan E. Davidson, President of American Councils.
