The Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies celebrated its 40th anniversary at a gala held on April 27, 2010, at the Ritz-Carlton in Washington, DC. The Reverend Jesse L. Jackson, Sr., served as keynote speaker and was honored with the Louis E. Martin Great American Award.
