A Congressional Briefing on Place Matters for Health was held on June 13, 2011, at the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington, DC. The briefing, sponsored collaboratively by the Health Policy Institute, the Congressional Black Caucus, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, and the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus, explored how communities shape health outcomes and examined how policy strategies and community-oriented solutions can lead to significant gains in health outcomes.
